Our Lodging Recommendations:

Your options: There are many options for accommodations in and around Sequim. You can rent a hotel room, a house, a room in a bed & breakfast, or you can camp. Our most recommended option is the Sequim Quality Inn & Suites, where we have a large block of rooms. We also have a block of rooms at Econo Lodge Sequim. Our next recommendation is to rent a house from Sequim Vacation Rentals. If you're staying with several people, these can be a lot of fun and a great bargain. Send us an email or if you do rent a house and you have an extra room, or if you'd like to find an open bed in a rented house. We know of a few people in both situations already. For those who desire more elegant or romantic accommodations, the bed & breakfasts are probably your best option. Ourdoorspeople and cheapskates rejoice: there are great camping sites in Sequim and throughout Olympic National Park.

How to use this page: This page has a map and a list of accommodations, sorted by type. Note that the map is interactive: click on the map points, zoom, and pan. See the instructions below the map for details. The list of accommodations provides rates, descriptions (when available), and contact information. Links to particular accommodations' websites are provided by clicking on that place's name (in the left column; it will be underlined if there's a link).

Reserve now: We'd like to strongly encourage you to make your accommodation reservations as soon as possible (probably in February or March). Every year Sequim (pronounced 'squim'; rhymes with 'swim') hosts the Lavender Festival, a small town celebration centered around the purple flower. This year the Lavender Festival is the weekend of our wedding. (We thought we had avoided this, but the Festival dates were changed.) You'll be competing for accommodations in the greater-Sequim area with some of the ~30,000 Festival attendees. So make your reservations today!

Sequim Quality Inn & Suites Our top recommended hotel. Brand new; opened in spring 2006. The largest fraction of our guests will stay here. We reserved a block of rooms (13 rooms with two queen-size beds, 2 smoking rooms with two queen-size beds, and 3 rooms with one king-size bed). Mention "Howard/Muirhead wedding" to get group rate. It's $88/night for single or double occupancy, $96/night for triple occupancy, and $104 for quadruple occupancy - a little higher than we thought, but still a good deal. The block is reserved the nights of July 13th, 14th, 15th, & 16th (Thursday through Sunday night). Hotels near Seattle Airport:

If you're arriving late at night in to or leaving early in the morning from the Seattle Airport, you might consider staying at one of the many hotels that are within a few miles. Because there are so many of these hotels, they're really inexpensive, and they're are good for separating the 2-2.5 hour drive from a flight. You can find these hotels by searching on orbitz.com or a similar site. (On Orbitz, click on "Hotels"; enter "Seattle" in the box called "Where"; then look at the results under SeaTac Airport.)
