You've mentioned a few times that we should get our accommodations early since the Lavender Festival is the same weekend as your wedding. How serious is this?

As of the middle of February, some of the hotels, B&Bs, and other accommodations are starting to fill up. The Sequim residents that we've talked to have said that all Sequim accommodations (and most in nearby towns) are fully occupied during the Lavender Festival. We recommend getting your reservations (most of which can be canceled, if necessary) the sooner the better - probably in February or March. If you're having trouble finding a place to stay, give us a call and we'll try to help.
We know that making your plans months in advance is a bit inconvenient. We're really sorry about that! When we chose our wedding weekend, the Lavender Festival was scheduled for a week later.
While crowds will at times be a pain, the Lavender Festival will create a festive atmosphere in Sequim and provide us all with lots of things to do. Check out the Lavender Festival brochure.

Sarah and Andrew - Where are you staying? I'd like to stay near you guys.

Along with our families, we're staying in two rented houses on the north side of Sequim on the Dungeness Bay. Check out the map on the accommodations page; our houses are at the blue map point on the top of the map. The closest accommodations are the various cottages on Dungeness Bay (yellow map points). Some of the houses for rent through Sequim Vacation Rentals are also near the houses that we're renting. If you'd like to rent one, just ask for one near the ones we rented.

Hi Andrew & Sarah - I'm so excited about your wedding. I was wondering if you have any way of transporting your gifts home from Olympic? Are you guys flying? Should I just mail my gift or will you have some type of gift opening party? Love, Susie Q.

We're flying (not driving) to and from Washington. So our luggage space will be limited. At this point, we don't have any gift-opening parties scheduled. We certainly do appreciate gifts. The best way to get them to us is through the mail.
